Funktio

Funktio is a SaaS service developed by Verkkoasema to manage tasks and customer contacts. Its goal is to help companies by centralising customer data in a manageable way. With Funktio, companies can conveniently serve their customers through a single service channel.

Riesen Design designed the entire package for Funktio, including the logo, visual identity, brand guidelines, presentation template, illustrations, icons, website and application interfaces.

We created two possible visual paths at the beginning of the project, which were eventually (as often happens!) combined into one strong concept.

The primary role of Funktio is to centralise information from different sources in one place. This core task became the visual concept for the logo: lines represent the paths along which data is organised inside of Funktio. These elements also form the letter F, reinforcing the recognisability of the brand.

The industry is highly competitive and one way in which Funktio is able to stand out visually is by using high quality illustrations instead of stock photography. Our proposal was to use a visual language to tell a story in an abstract way: first, the puck-shaped objects that represent the tasks enter the system, where they are grouped and analysed. After being integrated into Funktio, the tasks are then clearly listed and processed. The third step describes how tasks are processed securely and smoothly to completion.

The illustration concept is designed so that these separate elements can be easily combined into one big picture. As Funktio's features expand, more illustrations can be added in the future.
